Where Todd Stands
The Platform
Four priorities. No fluff. Just what Germantown needs.
Todd Adams isn't running on a party line or a consultant's talking points. He's running on the issues that Germantown residents actually talk about at the dinner table — safety, schools, accountability, and fiscal common sense.
Public Safety
Keep Germantown one of the safest cities in Tennessee.
Germantown's reputation as a safe community didn't happen by accident — it's the result of investment in our police and fire departments. Todd will fight to keep it that way.
That means competitive pay and benefits to recruit and retain top officers, modern equipment and training, and staffing levels that let our first responders do their jobs without being stretched thin.
Todd opposes any effort to defund or reduce public safety resources. Period.
- Competitive compensation to attract and retain officers
- Modern equipment and ongoing training
- Adequate staffing — no shortcuts
- Strong fire department funding and response times
Schools
Protect and invest in the schools that make Germantown a destination for families.
Families choose Germantown because of our schools. That's not a coincidence — it's a competitive advantage we've earned through decades of investment and community commitment.
Todd will work to ensure the city continues to support quality education: safe, well-maintained facilities, resources for teachers, and a community that treats schools as the long-term investment they are.
He'll push back against any budget decisions that treat education as a line item to cut when times get tight.
- Safe, well-maintained school facilities
- Resources and support for teachers
- Protect education funding in the city budget
- Keep Germantown a top destination for families
Term Limits
Fresh perspectives and accountability over career politics.
Career politicians lose touch. It's not a partisan observation — it's human nature. The longer someone holds office, the more they start making decisions for their own political survival rather than for the people they serve.
Todd supports term limits for elected officials at every level. Germantown deserves leaders who come in with fresh eyes, do the work, and then return to being regular citizens — not people who treat public office as a career.
He'll advocate for term limit policies at the local level and lead by example.
- Term limits for aldermen and elected officials
- Rotate fresh perspectives into local government
- Reduce entrenchment and political self-interest
- Lead by example — Todd will honor term limits himself
Fiscal Responsibility
Spend taxpayer money wisely. Every dollar counts.
Germantown residents work hard for their money. When they pay taxes, they deserve to know that money is being spent carefully — not wasted on bloated projects, unnecessary overhead, or politically motivated spending.
Todd will demand full transparency in city budgeting and spending. He'll ask the hard questions, push back on waste, and vote against any budget that doesn't reflect the priorities of Germantown families.
Living within our means isn't just good policy — it's respect for the taxpayers who fund everything we do.
- Full transparency in city spending and budgets
- Oppose wasteful or politically motivated projects
- Responsible budgeting that lives within our means
- Accountability for every dollar of taxpayer money
